We first welcome children from 2 years of age who spend their time in our 'Joey' Room. This will consist of sensory play (e.g water/sand/ materials), block play for the children's physical development as well as painting with different writing tools. Our highly qualified team also talk and role-model with the children throughout their play to help with their language and communication. We slowly start to incorporate the four specific areas to ensure our little Joeys are prepared for when they move into the 'Kangaroo' room.
Our 'Kangaroo' Room is catered for our 3-4-year-olds. We have guided areas such as home corner, construction, story/circle/dancing time and arts & crafts. Our curriculum is based on traditional tales which we have incorporated into our planning including stories of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, The Three Little Pigs, The Hungry Caterpillar etc. In our planning we have covered the seven areas of learning which has been incorporated throughout the curriculum activities.
Each day we offer a healthy, nutritional homemade menu for breakfast, lunch and snacks, ensuring the children get their 5-a-day. We cater for all types of diet, whether that be vegetarian, vegan or non-veg. A full menu can be requested for, just ask one of our staff members.
We ensure the children are taken to outdoor areas to enjoy nature walks and trips to the local amenities such as the supermarket and train station. We call this a learning walk, talking to the children about the environment and surroundings as we walk.
We also a provide a uniform for the children, which consists of 2 polo t-shirts and a fleece. Please ask the team for more information on pricing and availability.
We operate an open-door policy that encourages two-way communications to ensure clarity and transparency.
We welcome the contributions and suggestions from all parents to ensure high standards of care & continuity.
We do this by using the secure online learning journal system called EyLog. Your child's key-person documents observations and assessments on this system, using pictures and videos to show the progress your child is making.
Parents have access to the learning journal at all times by downloading the EyLog app and can contribute their own observations to the journal to record their child's unique path during their early years.
